Kona Stories

Kona Stories is an independent bookstore located in South Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. Established in 2006 by Brenda Eng and Joy Vogelgesang, Kona Stories features over 8000 new and hard to find titles. We specialize in Island travel guide and maps, kid's books and whimsical gifts.
Readers of every genre come and enjoy this South Kona treasure which features many book clubs, writers groups, workshops and author events each week.

Not to be missed is the fabulous ocean view from the back Lanai where guests come to curl up on comfy chairs and read or use the free internet. Kona Stories features award winning 100% Kona Coffee and pastries to enhance your stay during your visit. Come talk story with the owners who are in the shop everyday.
