This is a powerful 5-day retreat for those wanting to create a more intrimate relationship with both their Higher Self/Oversoul as well as their Guide – their Oversoul's teacher. This retreat focuses primarily upon shamanic cosmology – where we use investigative shamanic fieldwork to explore the sacred dimensions where all mysteries, great and small, may become known. Our connections with our oversoul, as well as our committee of elder spirit teachers, will be deepened and broadened, fine-tuning our ability to do divination work among other things.
In our explorations of the geography of the Upper Worlds, we will attempt to learn more about the destiny of souls, as well as those localities where the most creative work of souls is accomplished. In the process, each may find enhanced connection with the benevolent forces who are poised to help us through the coming times of change and societal transformation. We will also address the issue of authentic initiation.
The Visionseeker 2 and 3 workshops will be most useful to those who have previously taken Visionseeker 1 as they form a continuity with VS1 focused upon the personal self, VS2 upon the social self (who is of service), and VS3 upon the cosmic self. But all who are familiar with the shamanic journeywork method and in touch with their helping spirits are welcome to register. If in doubt, please contact Hank or Jill before registering. If you have not attended a retreat you should be familiar with the material in the 6-CD set The Spiritwalker Teachings: Journeys for the Modern Mystic.
The Esalen Institute was founded in 1962 as an alternative educational center devoted to the exploration of what Aldous Huxley called the "human potential," the world of unrealized human capacities that lies beyond the imagination. Esalen soon became known for its blend of East/West philosophies, its experiential/didactic workshops, the steady influx of philosophers, psychologists, artists, and religious thinkers, and its breathtaking grounds blessed with natural hot springs.
